There are two houses currently in our beautiful estate;

The Cortijo de Rio Madera has a capacity of up to 14 people and the Casa de los Cazadores up to 8 people.

The CORTIJO DE RÍO MADERA was built in two different periods. It has been completely restored in the traditional style by local architects and artisans, whilst incorporating the latest environmentally-friendly technology. Original stone and timber features have been retained where possible, solar power and under-floor heating have been installed, whilst wood from the estate serves as fuel for the large open fireplace and stoves.

The Cortijo – comprising some 500 square metres on two floors – has seven double/twin bedrooms and six bathrooms. The communal areas include: two living rooms, a dining room, kitchen, larder and laundry room, a library, games-room, and TV room. A computer with internet facility is available in the Cortijo and mobile reception is adequate. Floor plans of the house [may be downloaded].

The Cortijo has its own private, solar-power-heated swimming pool, barbecue area, large pergola-shaded terrace with stunning 360-degree views.

The CASA DE LOS CAZADORES  is an inviting house constructed in 1980 on one floor, and located in a quiet corner of the estate with a mature garden.
This house hast just been renovated and it comprises an extremely large living area, divided into several separate zones – dining, lounge, etc.  There are three en-suite bedrooms, and one has a separate annex with two extra single beds.
There is a terraced area under a porch and a very large fenced garden.   There are two large fireplaces and two wood burners, supplemented by electric radiators.   
This house is ideal for smaller groups wanting a comfortable house in a very quiet and beautiful spot.

Services;

Complimentary meal - We can provide a complimentary meal upon arrival if guests request this; be it a warming fireside casserole in winter or a refreshing gazpacho and tortilla in summer.

Organic local produce - the Cortijo is kept well-stocked with basic foodstuffs and domestic supplies. Local products are provided whenever possible, such as the honey from hives kept on the estate which is available during spring and summer, or the locally-produced award-winning olive oil. Good local restaurants can be found, with three in Segura de la Sierra alone.

Pre-order service - Guests making use of the optional food supply service will find their pre-ordered shopping waiting for them. The Cortijo’s wine store can also be stocked as required with a carefully chosen selection of Spanish wines, supplied with wine-tasting notes. Guests place their orders with payment in advance.

Maid service - Weekly clean and change of linen. All beds and bedrooms are of course kept to a high level of comfort. Should further cleaning assistance be needed, this can be arranged. A cook can also be hired occasionally if required.
